is the founder and Managing Director of LobbyAffairs Coaching & Consulting. He has more than 25 years of management experience in strategic management, public affairs and corporate communications in politics, industry, start-ups and associations.
After studying economics and organisational sciences at the Helmut Schmidt University of Hamburg, he initially served as a scientific consultant for economic, energy and research policy in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament.
Afterwards, he spent than eight years in various positions and companies at RWE Energie AG, most recently as Vice President Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.
In the political arena of Berlin, he then worked for more than 12 years as General Executive Manager of the German Association of the Energy and Water Industries (BDEW.e.V.), where he successfully represented around 1800 companies in all matters relating to energy infrastructure and regulation. In 2008, he founded the first cross-industry platform for the promotion and development of electric mobility in Germany.
For the last three years, Kohlmann has worked as a coach and consultant, advising start-ups and companies in the field of sustainable management & development in Indonesia and Australia on a voluntary basis.
